Summer Camp: Participation optional, No extra fees allowed

BeNewz Report

LAHORE: In view of student health, convenience, and the need to ensure a safe learning environment during the summer season, authorities have issued comprehensive guidelines for summer camps in both public and private schools.

According to the directives, participation in summer camps will remain entirely optional for students, and no school will be allowed to charge any additional fees under this arrangement. All activities conducted under the program will be held indoors to protect students from extreme weather conditions.

The guidelines further emphasize that camps must operate on fixed schedules and ensure the availability of basic facilities to maintain a structured and safe environment for participants.

Punjab Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat said the initiative is designed to balance learning opportunities with student well-being during the summer break, while preventing any financial burden on families.
