NTS NAT-VI 2026 June 14: Engineering aspirants for admissions

BeNewz Report

ISLAMABAD: Thousands of Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) Pre-Engineering students across Pakistan are set to appear in the National Aptitude Test (NAT-VI 2026), which will be conducted nationwide on Sunday, June 14, 2026, a key examination for students seeking admission to engineering and technical universities.

The National Testing Service (NTS) conducts the NAT-IE (Pre-Engineering) as part of the undergraduate admission process for numerous public and private sector universities. The test is widely accepted by higher education institutions and serves either as a primary admission criterion or as a supplementary requirement alongside university-specific entrance examinations.

Students aspiring to secure admission to leading institutions, including COMSATS University Islamabad, FAST National University, Air University, Bahria University, the Institute of Space Technology (IST), and several other engineering and technology-focused universities, are expected to participate in the examination.

The NAT-IE evaluates candidates through a multiple-choice format comprising approximately 90 to 100 questions. The examination covers four major areas: verbal reasoning, quantitative reasoning, analytical reasoning, and subject knowledge based on the FSc Pre-Engineering curriculum, including Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.

Education experts say the examination remains one of the most accessible pathways to higher education, providing students from diverse educational backgrounds with an opportunity to compete for admissions on a standardized basis. Strong scores can significantly improve merit rankings and increase the likelihood of securing seats in highly competitive engineering programs.

As the test date approaches, academic advisors are urging candidates to focus on intensive revision of core concepts rather than attempting to study new material. Students are being encouraged to practice past NAT papers, attempt full-length mock examinations, and strengthen their time-management skills to maximize performance during the examination.

Preparatory institutes across major cities have also reported increased student participation in revision sessions and practice tests during the final days before the examination. Teachers believe that familiarity with the paper pattern and regular MCQ practice can play a crucial role in achieving higher scores.

NTS is expected to issue roll number slips before the examination, enabling candidates to confirm their test centers and reporting times. Students have been advised to regularly check official NTS announcements for any updates regarding examination schedules, instructions, or venue information.

Education analysts note that competition for engineering admissions has intensified in recent years as increasing numbers of students pursue careers in technology, engineering, and applied sciences. As a result, performance in standardized tests such as NAT continues to hold significant importance in university admissions.

With the nationwide test now scheduled for June 14, thousands of aspiring engineers will be hoping to secure strong results that could pave the way for admission to some of Pakistan’s leading universities and future opportunities in science, technology, and innovation.
