BIRMINGHAM: India Women secured a convincing 64-run victory over Pakistan Women in a high-profile Group 1 match of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 at Birmingham on Sunday.
After being invited to bat first, India posted a competitive total of 170 for 6 in their allotted 20 overs. The Indian batters accelerated in the closing stages of the innings, adding 53 runs in the final five overs to put Pakistan under pressure and set a challenging target of 171.
In reply, Pakistan Women struggled to build partnerships against a disciplined Indian bowling attack and were bowled out for 106 in 16.6 overs. The chase never gained momentum as wickets fell at regular intervals, leaving Pakistan well short of the target.
