Pakistan women beat Netherlands by 37 runs

BeNewz Report

LONDON:  Pakistan Women signed off their ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 campaign with a convincing 37-run victory over Netherlands Women in their Group 1 clash at Bristol on Saturday.

After opting to bat, Pakistan posted 126 for 6 in their allotted 20 overs, thanks to an unbeaten half-century from Gull Feroza. The opener anchored the innings with a composed 63 not out off 52 deliveries, helping Pakistan recover from early setbacks and set a competitive target.

In reply, the Netherlands struggled against Pakistan’s disciplined bowling attack and were restricted to 89 in 18 overs while chasing 127. Regular wickets and tight bowling prevented the Dutch side from building any meaningful partnerships as Pakistan secured a comfortable victory.

Gull Feroza was named Player of the Match for her match-winning knock, while she also topped Cricinfo’s MVP rankings with 75.75 impact points.

Although Pakistan had already been eliminated from the tournament after consecutive defeats earlier in the group stage, the victory provided a positive finish to their campaign. The result also highlighted the team’s resilience, with Gull Feroza’s composed innings and an improved all-round performance giving Pakistan a morale-boosting win in their final group match.
