PMDC warns MDCAT 2026 applicants against fake registration updates

BeNewz Report

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) has issued a public alert for MDCAT 2026 applicants, urging students to rely only on official sources for registration updates and examination-related information.

In an advisory released, PMDC cautioned aspiring medical and dental students against misleading information being circulated through unofficial social media pages, WhatsApp groups, and fake online accounts claiming to provide MDCAT registration details and breaking news.

The council advised candidates to follow only the official PMDC website for authentic announcements regarding MDCAT 2026 registration, schedules, notifications, and policy updates.

According to the alert, several unauthorized pages and accounts have been spreading unverified claims and rumors, including reports suggesting that MDCAT registration has been delayed or cancelled. PMDC clarified that applicants should not trust such information unless it is published through official channels.

The regulatory body also warned students against clicking unofficial links or sharing personal information with individuals claiming to offer registration assistance through social media platforms or messaging applications.

PMDC emphasized that all official notifications, registration procedures, and examination updates will be announced exclusively through its official website.

The council urged applicants to remain vigilant, avoid misinformation, and regularly check official sources for the latest developments regarding MDCAT 2026.

The warning comes as thousands of students across Pakistan prepare for the medical college admission process, with growing concern over the spread of false information on social media platforms targeting prospective candidates.

PMDC reiterated that students and parents should verify all MDCAT-related information directly from the council’s official communication channels to avoid confusion and potential fraud.
