LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board has released the official anthem for Pakistan Super League season 11, featuring Atif Aslam, Aima Baig and the Sabri Sisters, as preparations intensify for the tournament scheduled to begin on March 26 at Gaddafi Stadium Lahore.
According to details released by the PCB, the PSL 11 anthem is titled “Bat Pe Khelenge”, a phrase meant to highlight the competitive spirit of the league and the passion of cricket fans across the country. The anthem brings together leading voices from Pakistan’s music industry, with Atif Aslam returning to the PSL stage, joined by pop singer Aima Baig and the Sabri Sisters, known for their strong background in classical and qawwali music.
Music anthems have become a central part of the Pakistan Super League’s branding strategy since the tournament began in 2016. Previous songs such as “Ab Khel Ke Dikha”, “Khel Deewano Ka”, and “Aagay Dekh” gained millions of views online and played a major role in promoting the league both domestically and internationally. According to PCB media data, PSL anthems regularly trend on social media platforms within hours of release, reflecting the league’s growing digital audience.
The 11th edition of the Pakistan Super League will start on March 26 in Lahore, with Gaddafi Stadium hosting the opening match. Tournament officials said Lahore and Karachi will host the highest number of games this season, with 22 matches scheduled in each city, while additional fixtures will be played in Rawalpindi and Multan. The PCB has increased the number of matches in major cities to maximize crowd attendance and broadcast viewership.
Pakistan Super League remains the country’s most valuable sporting property and one of the fastest-growing T20 leagues in the world. According to the PCB’s latest financial report, the commercial value of the league has crossed 300 million dollars, driven by broadcasting rights, sponsorship deals and franchise investments. Analysts say the league has played a key role in restoring international cricket in Pakistan after years of security concerns that forced matches to be played abroad.
The league’s popularity has also helped Pakistan’s cricket economy expand. Data released by the board shows PSL matches are now broadcast in more than 150 countries, while digital streaming numbers have increased significantly over the last three seasons. Officials believe that strong marketing campaigns, including music anthems, social media promotions and fan engagement events, have helped the tournament compete with other global T20 leagues.
Cricket experts say PSL 11 is being held at a time when the PCB is working to further expand the league’s reach and commercial strength. The board is exploring new sponsorship agreements, larger venue capacities and improved broadcast production to attract more international audiences. The release of the new anthem is being seen as part of that broader strategy to build excitement before the start of PSL 11, which the PCB hopes will be one of the most watched seasons in the league’s history.
