FBISE announces SSC exams from March 31

ISLAMABAD: Federal Board sets March 31 start for SSC Part I and II annual exams, issuing detailed date sheet for morning and evening sessions across all centres.

The Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education has announced that the Secondary School Certificate Part I and II first annual examinations 2026 will commence from March 31. The detailed date sheet was issued by the Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Islamabad on February 24, 2026, outlining schedules for both morning and evening sessions at all examination centres.

According to the notification, morning papers will begin at 9:00 am with attendance time set at 8:30 am. Evening session papers will start at 2:30 pm with candidates required to report by 2:00 pm. The examinations will continue until May 4, followed by practical examinations beginning from May 7, 2026.

The written examinations will open on March 31 with Physics-II for local area candidates in the morning session, while Physics-II, Civics, and Clothing and Textile will be conducted in the evening session for all centres including local areas. Mathematics-I papers are scheduled for April 1 in both sessions, followed by Essential of Home Economics, Economics, English Elective, and Electrical Wiring on April 2.

Islamiyat (Compulsory) Part II will be held on April 3, while Translation of the Holy Quran and Ethics for minorities are scheduled for April 4. April 5 and April 12 will be observed as closed days. English-II (Compulsory) is set for April 6, followed by subjects including Islamiyat History, Health and Physical Education, and General Science on April 7.

Economics-II and Art and Model Drawing papers are slated for April 8. Urdu-II (Compulsory) will take place on April 9. Chemistry-I examinations are scheduled for April 10, and Pakistan Studies-II will be conducted on April 11. English-I (Compulsory) will be held on April 13, while General Science and Chemistry-II practical papers for specific candidates are planned for April 14.

Biology-II and Computer Science-II exams are scheduled for April 15, followed by Urdu-I (Compulsory) on April 16. Islamiyat Studies and technical subjects including Wood Work and Furniture Making will be examined on April 17. Composite practical examinations for Biology and Computer Science will be conducted on April 18.

The second phase of the schedule will resume on April 20 with Islamiyat-I (Compulsory) and papers for minority subjects including Bahai, Buddhism, Christianity, Hinduism, Sikhism, Zoroastrianism, and Kalasha faith. Chemistry-II and Mathematics (General) exams will follow on April 21. Education and Physics-I practical examinations are planned for April 22.

Chemistry composite papers, Economics-I, and Arabic are scheduled for April 23. Physics-I theory papers will be held on April 24. Geography, English Elective, and Elements of Home Economics-II exams are fixed for April 25. April 26 will be a closed day.

Mathematics-II will be conducted on April 27, while Mathematics (General) and Physics-II practical examinations will take place on April 28. Biology-I and Computer Science-I exams are scheduled for April 29. Physics composite practical papers and related subjects will be held on April 30. May 1 and May 3 will remain closed days, while practical examinations for Biology and Computer Science improvement candidates will conclude on May 4. The board clarified that practical examinations will begin from May 7, 2026. It also reiterated that mobile phones and smart watches are strictly prohibited inside examination centres. The notification was signed by Controller of Examinations Fatima Tahira and Deputy Controller Asim Bashir, directing all heads of institutions and sectional heads to ensure strict compliance with the schedule.
