PSL 11 player auction: Naseem Shah– the most expensive player

LAHORE: The historic first player auction for the eleventh edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) concluded with fast bowler Naseem Shah emerging as the most expensive signing of the day. Rawalpindi Riders secured the services of the young Pakistani pace sensation for a whopping PKR 8.65 crore, setting the highest bid record of the auction.

For the first time, the PSL adopted a full auction format instead of the traditional draft system, allowing all eight franchises to aggressively bid within their purse limits (approximately up to PKR 50.5 crore). The auction, held on February 11, 2026 in Lahore, saw intense competition for both local and overseas talent.
