LAHORE: The historic first player auction for the eleventh edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) concluded with fast bowler Naseem Shah emerging as the most expensive signing of the day. Rawalpindi Riders secured the services of the young Pakistani pace sensation for a whopping PKR 8.65 crore, setting the highest bid record of the auction.
For the first time, the PSL adopted a full auction format instead of the traditional draft system, allowing all eight franchises to aggressively bid within their purse limits (approximately up to PKR 50.5 crore).
