Punjab Boards announce matric exam schedule for 2026

BeNewz Report

All educational boards across Punjab have officially released the schedule for the 2026 matriculation (SSC) annual examinations, announcing that the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) Part I and Part II exams will commence on March 3, 2026.

According to the Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISEs), all candidates are required to submit their examination forms exclusively through the online system, as manually filled forms or hand-submitted fee challans will not be accepted under any circumstances.

In a significant development, the Lahore Board has introduced a biometric attendance system to enhance transparency and incorporate modern technology in the examination process. Officials stated that the system will digitally record candidates’ identity and attendance, reducing the chances of impersonation and ensuring greater exam integrity.

The notification further advised all public and private institutions to consult their respective boards’ official websites for detailed instructions. Schools have been directed to submit printed copies of online admission forms along with deposited bank challans to the respective boards within the stipulated time frame to avoid delays or technical issues.

Board officials emphasized that the digitalization of the examination system will not only facilitate students and parents but also make the overall administrative process more efficient, transparent, and streamlined. Details regarding examination fees, submission deadlines, and roll number slips will soon be available on all official BISE websites.

Sources confirmed that all nine Punjab boards — Lahore, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Multan, Bahawalpur, Sahiwal, D.G. Khan, and Sargodha — will follow this unified schedule. The move marks a major step toward creating a standardized and technology-driven examination framework across the province.
