Nayatel users hit by triple threat of outages

ISLAMABAD: Nayatel, a prominent internet service provider (ISP), is currently experiencing significant, nationwide disruptions, leaving many of its customers without reliable internet access and hindering their ability to use critical online services. Frustration is mounting among users as they grapple with the multifaceted nature of these issues.

An email from Nayatel’s Technical Assistance Center recently confirmed a trio of problems contributing to the widespread outages. One of the primary concerns is with “Eastbound Internet Traffic.” This issue is leading to noticeably slower speeds and general connectivity problems for users trying to access international content and services. Nayatel has attributed this to a problem with an unnamed “uplink provider,” suggesting a fundamental backbone issue that is impacting a broad range of customer activities online.

Compounding these internet traffic woes, Nayatel customers are also encountering nationwide disruptions to Microsoft services. This includes essential applications that many individuals and businesses rely on daily, such as Outlook, Teams, and OneDrive. The outage of these critical platforms is severely impacting productivity for a vast number of users who depend on them for work, education, and communication.

Adding to this complex situation, a third independent issue has emerged: some websites and applications utilizing Cloudflare services are reportedly slow or entirely unreachable. This further complicates the connectivity landscape for Nayatel users, as many popular online platforms and services rely on Cloudflare for content delivery and security.

The simultaneous occurrence of these distinct problems has drawn significant criticism from Nayatel customers. Many users depend on consistent and reliable internet access for their livelihoods, educational pursuits, and daily routines. The widespread nature of these failures, affecting everything from basic internet Browse to critical business applications, has understandably sparked considerable dissatisfaction.

While Nayatel has stated that “teams, along with the relevant providers, are working to resolve them as quickly as possible,” the lack of a clear timeline for resolution is exacerbating customer frustration.
