Girls outshine boys in FBISE SSC exams

ISLAMABAD: Girls have once again demonstrated exceptional academic prowess, sweeping the top positions in the Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE) Secondary School Certificate (SSC) annual examinations 2025. The overall pass percentage for SSC Part-I (9th class) stood at 62.18%, while SSC Part-II (10th class) saw a remarkable 88.51% of students successfully clear their exams.

A total of 146,348 students appeared for the 9th-grade exams, with 89,882 of them declared successful. Similarly, 137,689 students took the 10th-grade examination, and an impressive 121,120 passed.

The results were officially announced at a ceremony held at H-8 College, graced by Dr. Khalid Maqbool Sidique as the chief guest. FBISE Chairman Pro Dr. Ikram Ali Malik provided a detailed briefing on the results. The event was well-attended by the high-achieving students, their proud parents, and dedicated teachers.

Top Achievers Across Science and Humanities Groups

Science Group

In the highly competitive Science Group, Maryum Nadeem from Army Public School and College (Rooh-e-Rawan), Westridge-III, Yousuf Colony, Rawalpindi, secured the first position with an outstanding 1093 marks. Amna Nasir from Lahore Grammar School, The Mall, Wah Cantt, earned the second position by bagging 1087 marks. The third position was jointly shared by Saleha Saqib from Emalah Foundation School and College, PIA Colony, Misrial Road, Rawalpindi, and Haniya Aiman Waheed from Army Public School and College (Girls Attock), both achieving an impressive 1083 marks.

Humanities Group

The Humanities Group also saw remarkable achievements. Sana Bibi from Shining Star Public School, St. No. 22, Allama Iqbal Colony, Rawalpindi Cantt, clinched the first position with 1045 marks. Abdul Rehman from the Institute of Islamic Science, Satra Meel (F.A) Islamabad, secured the second position with 1029 marks. Following closely, Muhammad Sufyan Ahmad, also from the Institute of Islamic Sciences, Satra Meel Islamabad, stood third with 1022 marks.
