ISLAMABAD: The Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) of the Cabinet on Friday approved a revision in dealers’ margins on Motor Spirit (MS) and High-Speed Diesel (HSD), following a proposal submitted by the Petroleum Division.
The meeting was chaired by Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb at the Finance Division.
The ECC reviewed the Petroleum Division’s summary concerning the revision of dealers’ margins on petrol and high-speed diesel and deliberated on the proposed changes.
Federal Minister for National Food Security and Research Rana Tanveer Hussain, Federal Minister for Petroleum Ali Pervaiz Malik and Federal Minister for Economic Affairs Ahad Khan Cheema attended the meeting, along with federal secretaries and senior officials from the relevant ministries and divisions.
The revision is aimed at updating the margins applicable to petroleum dealers, with further details of the revised rates expected to be notified by the government.
