LAHORE: Prominent psychiatrist and media personality Dr Nabiha Ali Khan has dismissed reports claiming that her husband, Haris Khokhar, has sent her a divorce notice, saying the rumours are baseless and expressing hope that the couple will soon resolve their differences.
Dr Nabiha Ali Khan, who gained widespread popularity for her outspoken views and media appearances, has often found her personal life under public scrutiny. Her marriage to longtime friend Haris Khokhar has frequently been the subject of discussion on social media and entertainment platforms.
The latest speculation emerged after a recent interview in which host Fariha Farrukh asked Dr Nabiha about the biggest mistake of her life. While she declined to answer the question directly, her reaction prompted online discussions, with many interpreting it as a reference to her marriage.
Subsequently, statements made by Haris Khokhar in various interviews fueled rumours that the couple’s relationship had deteriorated further and that divorce proceedings had begun.
Addressing the issue on her YouTube channel, Dr Nabiha firmly rejected claims that a divorce notice had been issued. She said she had never spoken against her husband and urged him to resolve matters privately rather than discussing personal issues on social media.
According to Dr Nabiha, disagreements between couples should be settled through direct communication and mutual understanding. She added that Haris should come and sit down with her so that both sides can discuss their concerns and find a solution.
She also stated that she has previously made compromises in an effort to save the marriage and remains committed to preserving the relationship. However, she stressed that she would not apologize for remarks she never made.
“There is no divorce notice,” she clarified, adding that she believes the couple will reconcile in the near future.
Dr Nabiha also appealed to YouTubers and social media content creators to refrain from posting misleading thumbnails and videos about her alleged divorce. She warned that sensationalized content can have serious consequences and negatively impact the lives of those involved.
Her latest statement appears aimed at putting an end to the growing speculation surrounding her marriage, while signaling optimism that the couple can work through their differences and move forward together.
