The Board of Directors of Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL), Pakistan’s largest Exploration and Production (E&P) company, has reappointed Ahmed Hayat Lak as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for a term of three years.
The listed E&P company informed the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) of this development in a notice on Thursday.
According to the notice, the company’s Board of Directors has appointed Ahmed Hayat Lak as the Managing Director/CEO for a three-year term starting January 9, 2025.
Ahmed Hayat Lak was first appointed as MD and CEO of OGDCL in February 2023.
As per information available on OGDCL’s website, Ahmed Hayat Lak has been serving as the Company Secretary and Head of Legal Services. He is also a Director on the Boards of Mari Petroleum Company Limited (Mari), Reko Diq Mining Company Limited (RDMC), Pakistan Minerals Private Limited (PMPL), and Pakistan International Oil Limited (PIOL).
Before joining OGDCL, he worked as Head of Corporate and Legal Services at Pakistan Oilfields Limited (POL). In addition, he has served in the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).
He holds a postgraduate degree in Law from the University of Wolverhampton, UK, and a Bachelor of Laws (Honors) degree from the University of London, UK.
